I do not compete, only hack out. How would Coolex benefit my horse?

If my horse has been exercised and is sweating, can I turn him straight out wearing the Coolex Winter Turnout?

Yes you can. The super advanced innovative triple layer Coolex fabric wicks sweat away quickly towards the outer layer, ensuring your horse does not become chilled, whilst the middle and inner layers are designed for insulation and comfort even for sensitive skins.

How does the special Coolex material work?
A
Coolex is a triple layer fabric which works by
1. The outer layer is made from a tight knit hard wearing and virtually snag-proof blend of wool and polyacryl which offers warmth, wind resistance and durability.
2. The middle layer is a Therma-Dry filler layer which is the ultimate in thermal insulation and has superb wicking abilities
3. The inner layer is designed for warmth and comfort even for sensitive skins. It wicks moisture away quickly towards the outer layer ensuring the horse does not become chilled.

How does the Coolex Stable Rug differ from just a normal stable rug?
A
The Coolex Stable Rug features all the benefits of the Coolex Cooler with the addition of a breathable polyester outer. Although the weight is equivalent to a normal medium weight stable rug, this rug will prevent your horse from becoming overheated or cold due to the triple layer Coolex fabric.

Can Coolex products be used all year round or just for winter?

Yes Coolex products can be used all year round. The Coolex Cooler is great after exercise or for horses stabled at night, when the temperature might drop rapidly. It is also perfect for travelling when horses are likely to sweat, ensuring that optimum temperatures are maintained. The Coolex tail guard also not only protects against rubbing but the comfortable Coolex fabric lining wicks moisture away.

I am not an event rider but like to compete at a local level in dressage. What would be the most suitable Coolex product for me at a competition?
A
There are a choice of Coolex products that would be suitable for you at a competition. You could choose from the traditionally cut Coolex Exercise Sheet or the practical Wrap-Around Exercise Sheet for during warm-up. Both of these sheets would ensure your horse stayed warm and not chilled even when sweating. If you were likely to have some fairly long time gaps between tests, you may prefer to choose the Coolex Cooler, again this rug would keep your horse warm and comfortable.

My horse is never clipped, is it still worth using a Coolex product?
A
This is possibly even more reason to use a Coolex product. If you horse is not clipped, he is likely to sweat more and is more likely to get a chill. The innovative triple layer fabric of Coolex will wick moisture away quickly to the outer layer of the rug while the inner and middle layers offer themal insulation even for sensitive skins.
